Humble Island is one of the islands that, during the summer, are restricted due to science studies. During the winter we can visit all the islands except Litchfield. Bill Fraser is studying Giant Petrals on Humble island, and I was lucky enough to go out with Gumby and Mary before station close and watch them measure and weigh the Giant Petral, Macronectes giganteus, chicks. I don't have any of the pictures of the Giant Petrals at the moment, but I was taking some black and white pictures of Gentoo Penguins, Pygoscelis papua. And so they are pictured here.
